Family Background

she is so sincere, obedient, and faithful in her character and her behavior even she is so good in her studies and playing. Including her, earlier there were three members in Sukanti's(mother) family.All of a sudden the joyful atmosphere of the Sukanti's family would not remain for longer time when certain tragedy hit the family that Puja's father (who was a driver), passed away on 03-03-14 due to excess intake of alcohol. The whole family members of Sukanti's was depending upon the Puja father’s daily wages for livelihood but he is no more now. Her mother began to go for daily labor to meet the family’s need and expense. Her mother won’t get the labor work regularly and the family is striving very hard to survive. Any kind of help and consideration will be a great help for Puja.

This community people's life is very pathetic. Due to lake of affordable proper medical treatment the community follow the ways of blind faith and practices by following the illiterate and witchcraft people the entire future of the children the community post into uncertain future and darkness.

About Vishwa Jyoti

‘VISHWA JYOTI’ is a registered organization to serve the poor and marginalised in the society Formed by a group of like-minded people whose heart beats for the poorest of the poor,destitute, orphans, widows, widowers and the neglected of the society. However, the organization is working among the poor mostly,in the rural areas including several indigenous people groups living in remote parts of the country in Odisha and beyond including the Himalayan the belt since 1979. However Vishwa Jyoti came to the lime light only after its registration under the society registration Act of the government of India as Vishwa Jyoti in 1994 and has ever since been serving among the poor and leading them from darkness, towards the light of knowledge, awareness and self-reliance.
