Patab Pani - Founder of Vishwa Jyoti

Born in 23rd May 1962, in a Godly family, he had an encounter with God and committed his life to serve poorest of the poor and marginalised.

Patab grew up in his home town and pursued high school studies till 1979. In 1979 he joined OM Indina and served with OM for one year.

In 1980 Patab began studying and completed his studies in 1984.

Patab joined Trans World Radio (TWR) International radio broadcasting in 1984 and - continued serving there till 1992. During his work with the TWR he was responsible for their operations in Odisha,entire undivided Madhya Pradesh.

During his time with T.W.R he served as field co-ordinator, state co-ordinator and north east India area Co-ordinator in West Bengal, Sikkim, Nepal, undivided Bihar and also in Andhra Pradesh. Motivated by the need for serving more effectively among the poor, Patab resigned from TWR in 1993 and established Vishwa Jyoti and NOG which he heads now and has been serving the cause of poor through this organization until now.

Family Background

The founder's parent has a large and gentle family with integrity and simplicity. The founder's parent happened to be very kind hearted with helping nature and indentify them self with the marginalised people of the society.

Genesis of Vishwa Jyoti

After having gone through the life millfinally the founder decided to spend and be spent for the cause of the upliftment of the neglected, downtrodden, abominated, scorned humanity of the society. That is how with the great commitment in the life for a noble cause the Vishwa Jyoti has started and consider it to become a servant to serve the deserved.

His Achievements as a Social Activist

Rewarded by various occasion through important minister and G.O.V.T. official not less than 20 times though I do not remember the date and day but very much remember the occasion.

About Vishwa Jyoti

‘VISHWA JYOTI’ is a registered organization to serve the poor and marginalised in the society Formed by a group of like-minded people whose heart beats for the poorest of the poor,destitute, orphans, widows, widowers and the neglected of the society. However, the organization is working among the poor mostly,in the rural areas including several indigenous people groups living in remote parts of the country in Odisha and beyond including the Himalayan the belt since 1979. However Vishwa Jyoti came to the lime light only after its registration under the society registration Act of the government of India as Vishwa Jyoti in 1994 and has ever since been serving among the poor and leading them from darkness, towards the light of knowledge, awareness and self-reliance.
